Pipeline Rehabilitation FIBAROLL®, combined with CERAMAX®, will provide a unique system to reinstate the integrity of the pipeline. This system is designed specifically for pipes that are abrading or corroding internally. Asbestos Encapsulation When encapsulating asbestos insulated pipe line, there is no need to remove existing cladding or disturb the asbestos in any way. FIBAROLL® is applied over the top of the existing cladding in a cigarette wrap. Once cured by UV it provides a completely sealed unit, removing the risk of any fiber loss. It also provides very strong mechanical protection. Quality Control and Working Methods. FIBAROLL® is manufactured to the strictest standards of ISO 9001. This eliminates any variation in the mixing, delivering a constant quality controlled product. | ||||||||

Tape/Butt Joint Working with FIBAROLL® requires no special equipment. On pipelines we adopt a cigarette wrap/butt joint method. The FIBAROLL® is cigarette wrapped around the substrate, each section butt jointing to the next. After cure a tape is applied over each joint. |

Case Study Application to Steel Vessel - Alcoa Requirements: A cladding that would totally seal a thermally insulated steel vessel and prevent corrosion under the insulation Had to be easily applied and repaired if required Solution: First Thermobreak Insulation was applied to the vessel. FIBAROLL® was then applied over the insulation and terminated directly onto the steel to create a tough egg shell like sealed cladding. The joints were rolled to create a impenetrable bonded joint. Each joint was overlapped by 30mm minimum. FIBAROLL® was applied to the cone section before installation. With this method, damage in transit could be easily repaired if required FIBAROLL® was easily cut and molded to form intricate shapes. When the application of FIBAROLL® was complete the vessel was exposed to UV to cure. The approximate curing time was 30 minutes in full UV. When fully cured, the red UV retarding film was removed. |

The 'C' glass veil gives the FRP laminate exceptional long term weathering performance and added chemical resistance. The glass mat provides flexural strength and toughness. Resin systems provide good chemical and temperature resistance. |
