Fibashield
FibaShield is a fiberglass-reinforced coating shop applied to new steel pipe and/or over insulation.
The matrix is typically applied at 76 mils thick, though it can be made
thicker or thinner. Once cured, it has extraordinary UV and chemical
resistance, adhesion, impact and abrasion resistance. It provides a vapor
barrier and has an anticipated service life in excess of 15 years. If field
repairs are required, they are easily and quickly carried out.
FibaShield can be used to coat mineral wool, PU and most insulation
materials in pipe diameters from 4" up to 48". Most applications are
completed in under 30 minutes, including cure-time.
