This was a repair carried out on the fiberglass top of a UPS delivery truck. The damage to the roof was severe. We used our UV-cure gel in conjunction with our pre-preg. After grinding and cleaning the damaged area, we used our gel as an adhesion-enhancer. Strips of pre-preg were applied to the damaged area and the gel was used again to seal the seams and termination points to create a smooth finish. The truck was then driven outside into the daylight and the gel and pre-preg cured together in under 30 minutes. This repair would have taken two men several hours to complete. One man completed the entire repair in less than an hour.

UV Corrosion Control carries a high-end line of UV Cure coatings and gels. All of our materials come in either polyester or vinylester configurations.

Standard Resins: Our standard UV-cure coatings can be used as stand-alone protective coatings and/or adhesion enhancers and seam sealers for our pre-pregs. They can also be used in conjunction with fiberglass scrim for hand layup systems.

NO-VOC Resins: We also carry a line of UV-cure resins that have virtually no VOCs. These too can be used as stand-alone coatings or in conjunction with pre-pregs. These materials can be custom-designed with release agents and/or anti-fouling agents.

Gel: Our UV-cure gel is a vinylester-based material that has the consistency of Vaseline. It is used in conjunction with our pre-pregs as an adhesion enhancer for deeply pitted steel and concrete or as a seam sealer. Also, since it hangs so well, it is an ideal material for use as the base resin for hand layup applications.

Like all of our materials, these will cure typically in less than 20 minutes, have virtually no potlife and, because they are single component, require no mixing of catalysts.

Many of our resins and gels are available in dual-cure configurations for cracked or deeply pitted concrete or other speciality applications. 		.
